FootGolf is a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf. The game is played with a regulation #5 or #4 soccer ball (depending on the age) at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. Founded in 2014, the Indiana FootGolf Association (IFGA) is the official State Association and an official member of the United States FootGolf Association (USFGA). The IFGA, through its Official Tournaments, Events, Leagues, Membership Program, Handicap System, Newsletter and Club Championship Program provides opportunities for increased play and awareness. The IFGA also provides support to local courses, assisting with course layout, marketing support, equipment, merchandise and best practices. The IFGA mission is to promote the growth and development of the sport of FootGolf in Indiana.
Founding Partners of the IFGA Dan Kapsalis, the Hall of Fame Soccer Pro (right) and Ted Bishop the Hall of Fame Golf Pro (left) and current Former President of the PGA of America, lay out the first ever FootGolf course in the State of Indiana.
Dan and Ted are also founding partners in the newly formed national organization, the United States FootGolf Association (USFGA).
